IAAPA 2019 Events for ACE Florida

The IAAPA events for November 2019 have been officially announced!

Annual ACE/IAAPA Meet & Greet
Wednesday, November 20 at 7PM

Join us for an informal meet up at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse on Wednesday, November 20.  Starting at 7PM, ACE Members and their guests may visit, eat, and drink with other fellow ACE Members and friends throughout the night.  There is no registration or cost for this event, the only costs to you would be what you plan to spend on food and drink.  You may arrive at any time throughout the evening and IAAPA admission is not required to attend.

ACE Day at Fun Spot America
Saturday, November 23 at 9AM

Following the IAAPA Expo, Fun Spot America will host an event starting at their Kissimmee location.  On Saturday, November 23, meet up at the Kissimmee location starting at 9AM and begin the day with one-hour of ERT on Mine Blower, Florida’s only inverting wooden coaster.  For non-passholders, you will receive an armband good for use on all normal attractions at both the Kissimmee location and the Orlando location (make sure to check out White Lightning while you’re at the Orlando location!).  Guests will also get to experience one ride on the World’s Tallest Sky Coaster at the Kissimmee location.  Standing at 300 feet high, you will have the choice to ride with the normal flying position, or experience the new Sky Sled!

The event will also include a Fun Spot guest speaker, a Q&A session with your Regional Representative, prizes and giveaways provided by Fun spot, and a Meal Coupon good for $18 towards your choice of food, beverages, or arcade games in either park.  The schedule of these events will be released closer to the date of the event.

For ACE Members, this event will cost $80 with a discounted Passholder rate of $32.50.  You must present a valid 2019 or 2020 Season Pass on the day of the event in order to take advantage of the Passholder pricing.  ACE Members may bring guests who have not joined ACE for a $10 additional fee to the event cost.  Guests may register and pay separately, but they are required to identify the ACE Member of whom they are a guest of during their registration process.

ACE EXCLUSIVE!!!  2020 Fun Spot Season Pass Pre-Sale and Discount

As a Thank You from Fun Spot, ACE Members will have the option to purchase the 2020 Fun Spot Season Pass early, starting on November 16; and at the discounted price of only $64.50 plus tax!  This price will only be available to ACE Members who are able to show a valid and active ACE Membership Card at any ticket window for Fun Spot (this includes either Kissimmee or Orlando locations).  The 2020 Season Pass will be valid for the remainder of 2019 along with all of 2020, and will include access to all three parks (including their Atlanta location).

ACE Members who plan to purchase the 2020 pass may then take advantage of the Passholder pricing for the event on November 23.  However, the Season Pass will not be available for sale the morning of the event.  You must pre-purchase your pass at least one day in advance of the event in order to experience the Mine Blower ERT.

All registrations and payments must be received by November 19, 2019.
No registration is required for the Meet & Greet event.  To register for the Fun Spot event, we have transitioned to a fully online store system for registrations and payments.  Please follow the appropriate link below to register and pay.  You will be required to provide the names and email addresses of all guests attending.  Payment is due immediately upon registration.  There are no extra fees for paying online.  After completing registration, you will receive an emailed confirmation from the Online Store confirming your payment, and then a second confirmation from your Regional Representative confirming your registration.  If more information is needed from your order, your Regional Representative will reach out to you directly.

Questions & Answers:

How can I register online?
Follow the link HERE to our ACE Florida Online Store.  Select View Open Registrations and then select if you are an ACE Member or Guest.  Fill out the form (including Passholder options, Name, Email, and ACE Member Number), then click Attend to add that person to your cart (Please do not increase the Quantity).  For every additional attendee, follow the same procedures for each person.  Once all attendees are added to your cart, you can proceed to the checkout and pay with any major Credit Card.  After payment, you will receive a confirmation email about your payment from our Online Store, then a confirmation email from your Regional Representative.

What if I can’t register online through the store?
Alternatively, you may request a Registration Invoice through this link HERE.  After filling out the online form, you will receive an invoice within 6 hours that you may either pay online or via check/money order mailed to the address found on the invoice.

What if I paid for the wrong registration type for the Fun Spot event?
Our online store is a new process and I understand accidents can happen.  If you happened to pay the wrong registration fee, the registration will be corrected and you will be responsible for any difference in fees.  If the difference in fees are lower than your original payment, you will receive a refund of the difference without any extra fees.  If you have any open balance due on your registration past the registration deadline, your registration will be cancelled.  Please contact me directly at mchristopher@aceonline.org with any questions or modifications about your registration.

Can I purchase my 2020 Fun Spot Season Pass online?
Fun Spot has been very gracious in providing ACE with an exclusive discount and pre-sale of their 2020 Season Pass.  This discount will only be available in their park and ACE Members will be required to physically show their valid ACE Membership Card at the ticket booth to receive the discount.  It will not be sold online.  This pass will be available to ACE Members starting November 16.

Why are we only getting a Meal Voucher during this event?
I have first thank Fun Spot for putting this event together so quickly!  With that said, this event was planned very quickly because a prior event had to be cancelled.  Since our members and guests may not have had the normal amount of preparation time that we would expect for any event, we did not anticipate our attendance to reach the minimum requirements that Fun Spot puts in place for their catered lunches.  Fun Spot has already provided so much for ACE throughout this year and for this event, I did not feel it would be appropriate to ask for this additional favor.  They worked with me to provide alternative dining options and I choose the best option based on the type of event.  Remember that we have more great events coming up in 2020!

Can I purchase the 2020 Season Pass on the day of the event and still pay the Passholder Price?
Unfortunately, no.  The event will start before the park is open to the public and before any ticket booths open for the day.  In order to take advantage of the Passholder price of this event, a valid 2019 or 2020 Fun Spot Season Pass must be presented to our Event Coordinator on the morning of the event.  Failure to produce this pass on the morning of the event may result in you paying the difference in price for the regular admission or you may not have an available armband.  There will be no refund in the event that your Season Pass is not presented and you choose to no longer attend the event.
After the park opens to the public on the day of the event, the 2020 Season Pass will be available for purchase for ACE Members, but you would miss out on the Mine Blower ERT.

Is the 2020 Season Pass discount good for guests of ACE Members?
No, the 2020 Season Pass discount of $64.50+tax is only valid for current ACE Members who present their Membership Card at the ticket booth.  The 2020 Fun Spot Season Pass will be available to the public starting Nov 29th and will have a regular retail value of at least $149.95.  ACE Membership start at only $35 per year for the Associate Level.  The cost of an Associate ACE Membership, plus the Season Pass, plus the Passholder price to this event will still be lower than the price of a regular 2020 Fun Spot Season Pass!

Do I have to attend IAAPA for any of these events?
No.  Even though these events are themed and scheduled around the IAAPA Expo, attendance to the Expo is not a requirement to attend either the Meet & Greet or Fun Spot events.

How many people can I bring to the Meet & Greet?
As many as you would like!  The Meet & Greet at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse is an informal event that is open to all ACE Members, Guests, and IAAPA Attendees.

Do you need volunteers to help with these events?
For these two events, I currently do not need any extra assistance.  However, if you would like to take pictures during either event for ACE News, you may send those pictures to me at the conclusion of the events.  Sign-up for this is not required and you will receive proper credit if your pictures are used.  For upcoming 2020 events, I will have more volunteer opportunities available!
